Our investment philosophy is a simple one. We believe the most critical factor in achieving a successful private equity investment is the strength of and alignment of incentives with the management team. This principle governs everything we do, from our approach to evaluating investment opportunities to our interactions with our management partners and investors.
Thus, our ideal investment is one in which we partner with a high quality management team that wishes to become or remain a meaningful owner of the business they operate. We believe our role in this partnership is to provide the appropriate level of support, whether financial or operating, to management teams to build businesses through both internal growth and add-on acquisitions, and to realize significant returns on capital for the management team, our investors and our partners. One key way in which we provide this support is through our board of operating advisors, comprised of seasoned executives with a wide range of experience in manufacturing, distribution, retail and sales and marketing across a variety of industries Our operating advisors not only provide us with invaluable assistance in the due diligence process, but offer management teams access to their experience and industry expertise.
